NIGER
Niger, or officially the Republic of Niger, is a parliamentary republican country located in the west of the Continent of Africa and it has no seashore. Niger neighbors Algeria and Libya to the north, Chad to the east, Nigeria and Benin to the south, and Burkina Faso and Mali to the west. The Republic of Niger was founded in lands where the empires such as Mali, Songhai, Kanem-Bornu, and Sokoto are located. The country, which was a French colony in the past, gained its independence in 1960. The country took its name from the Niger River, being a large African river. 55% of Niger territory is desert or semi-desert. In the country where Hausa, Djerma, Tuareg, Kanuri, Tubu, Arab, Gurman, and Fulani communities are located in terms of ethnic groups, the main languages spoken in the country are Hausa Djerma, Kanurian, Fulani, Temasek, Tıbuca, Arabic, and Gurman. French is used in official procedures. The capital city of the country is Niamey.
